Do you want to help
the public understand agriculture and how it affects our lives? Do you
want to promote agricultural education and the FFA? Do you want to be
a part of the agricultural education/FFA Team and its exciting
programs?"
You can be an Alumni
member - if you are interested in supporting FFA and agricultural
education. Whether you are a former FFA member, parents of a member,
an agricultural educator, an agribusiness professional, a farmer or
anyone interested in supporting the FFA and agricultural education.
YOU
CAN JOIN AND WE NEED YOU!
Anyone can join. It
is very simple to become a member.
State and national dues are $16, paid annually or you can save
and become a life-member for a one-time fee of $200 (includes national and state dues.). As a life member, you will receive the national FFA New Horizons magazine.
Local dues will be
added in by your local
affiliate. If you don't have a local affiliate, contact
the

FFA Alumni Membership Secretary or send the membership
application form.

The
purpose of the Alumni is to provide support for the FFA youth
leadership organization. You do not have to have been a former
FFA member to become an alumni member (just have enthusiasm for
supporting the largest youth leadership organization in the nation).

State and National
Activities
Ø
Provide
scholarships to the Washington Leadership Conference.
Nebraska
receives one Leadership Conference scholarship for every 500 Alumni
members.
Ø
Closely
monitor state and national legislation that affects agricultural
education and the FFA.
Ø
Provides
a government intern program in governmental affairs areas to provide
support for agricultural education
Ø
Support
the
Nebraska
Agricultural Educator's Association.
Ø
Sponsor
the rental of Pershing Auditorium for the annual State FFA Degree and
Awards Ceremony at the Nebraska FFA Convention.
Ø
Support
leadership development activities for Nebraska FFA members.
Ø
Provide
the people power to help conduct agricultural education activities.

Provide
student teacher scholarships in memory of Dr. Ted Ward.
